Who are the Baha’is?

Baha’is come from everywhere in the world. They are composed of every race, religion, ethnicity, age and socioeconomic status.

What unites them is a common desire to love God and love humanity, guided by the love of Baha’u’llah and an effort to put His words into action.

Basic Principles of the Baha’i Faith

At a time when justice was lacking, prejudice reigned supreme and the world’s peoples were divided, Baha’u’llah revealed the laws and principles of the Baha’i Faith as a healing message for the ills affecting humanity.

The Baha’i Faith in Baltimore

In 1912, after 40 years of imprisonment for sharing a Message of love, `Abdu’l-Bahá traveled throughout the United States to speak about the Baha’i Faith and the cause of universal peace. He was the son of Bahá’u’lláh, the Prophet-Founder of the Baha’i Faith.

The Baha’i Faith

Being a Baha’i means believing in the Manifestations of God of the world’s religions, and believing in Baha’u’llah as the One for this day and age. In terms of personal development, it means striving to fulfil His laws in one’s own life and working to make the world a better place.

Who is Baha’u’llah?

Over 150 years ago, Bahá’u’lláh declared that the Day promised by all religions of the past had arrived. His mission was to unite the hearts of humanity, to bring peace and justice to the world, and to guide humanity through its development in a new age.

“It is incumbent upon all the peoples of the world to reconcile their differences, and, with perfect unity and peace, abide beneath the shadow of the Tree of His care and loving-kindness.”

-Baha’u’llah
